Launching Full Support for Texas Instruments' AM62A and AM68A Processors

Edge Impulse is proud to announce full support for Texas Instruments’ AM62A and AM68A line of processors. The development kits SK-AM62A-LP and SK-AM68A with PSDK 8.06 installed are supported by Edge Impulse’s low to no-code model development and deployment options.

The AM62A line features single to quad-core Cortex-A53 processors which support one to two cameras at less than 2W in applications such as video doorbells and smart retail systems. Equipped with a 1TOPS vision processor, the AM62A3 is the most cost-sensitive model of the family selling for US$12 in 1,000-unit quantities.

The AM68A is a dual-core Arm Cortex-A72 processor. It can handle up to 8 cameras, and with up to 8 TOPS of AI processing and 4k 60fps video analytics, making it suitable for machine vision, AI Box, and autonomous robotics applications.

Edge Impulse model support includes Mobilenets, Mobilenet SSD, FOMO, YOLOs and custom models for Image Classification, Object Detection, Keyword Spotting, and Sound Event Detection.
