The Premier Edge AI Event for Developers Heads to Amsterdam

Many people in our community know about Imagine, our annual event in celebration of edge AI. Last year, we launched Imagine Innovators, focusing on the developer community that is helping build the world of edge AI. Debuting as a fully streamed event, the edge AI community showed support and enthusiasm, so this year, we’re going bigger. We’re taking it to Europe, live and in-person on May 20 at Capital C Amsterdam, with a global, interactive livestream for those who can’t make the trip.

Same energy, bigger stage, a day-long agenda packed with the kind of technical depth developers tell us they desire.

Register now then read on to get all the details.

The Agenda

Imagine Innovators was built for developers and engineers who want to go deep with edge AI, and the agenda reflects that. The day opens with a keynote from Edge Impulse cofounder Jan Jongboom on scalable edge AI architecture — covering everything from low-latency inference and secure model deployment to the life cycle management patterns that turn edge devices into autonomous decision engines. From there, the sessions branch out across three tracks: The Future of Edge AI, Physical AI & Robotics, and Developer Tools & Examples.

Physical AI is front and center: Louis Moreau’s session on the convergence of edge AI and robotics digs into the rise of physical AI — where intelligent systems don’t just process data but perceive, adapt, and act. He’ll demo edge AI techniques applied to the Reachy Mini robot from Hugging Face.

Moe Sani goes further with a session on bringing Edge Impulse natively into ROS nodes, demonstrated through real autonomous pipe inspection robots performing anomaly detection or industrial pipeline — fully on-device, fully offline.

The data quality conversion is long overdue: Carl Ward's "Trust the Data, Then the Model” session makes the case that most ML failures trace back to noisy labels and biased sampling, not model architecture. He’ll walk through the tools Edge Impulse is building to help developers find and fix data problems before they compound.

Industrial and real-world use cases: Gareth Jones from Consult Red presents a genuinely clever approach to factory floor inspection, using zero shot models combined with our fine-tuned YOLO-Pro architecture to dramatically cut the data collection and annotation burden for new product lines.

George Grey from Foundries.io tackles the brutal reality that more than 70% of IoT and edge projects never reach production, and what it actually takes to go from PoC to deployed product in the CRA era.

A session you won’t see anywhere else — Jim Bruges asks the question no one asks but everyone wants answered. Will it Run Doom? A live demo using the classic game to generate synthetic training data for object detection, and yes, it’s as fun as it sounds. But it’s also a sharp exploration of Edge Impulse’s platform extensibility and synthetic data capabilities.

Hands-on workshop with AI Agents: Marc Pous leads a workshop where you’ll go from idea to deployed ML model on an Arduino UNO Q using Claude Code and an Edge Impulse skill, end-to-end in one session.

The day closes with a fireside chat featuring Qualcomm, Arduino, Edge Impulse, and Foundries.io, followed by a drinks reception. If you’re going to be in Amsterdam, plan to stay for it.

Can’t Make It to Amsterdam?

No registration required to watch. The interactive livestream, with additional features, insights, and content elements, is open globally, so you can participate in discussions and access sessions from wherever you are.

Why This Matters Now

Edge AI is no longer an experimental technology, it’s production infrastructure, with a clear business mandate that’s delivering new product categories and revenue streams. Robots, industrial systems, and resource-constrained devices are making real-time decisions without a cloud-roundtrip. The tooling, architecture patterns and deployment practices are maturing fast. Imagine Innovators exists to put developers at the center of the momentum.

The edge AI community is building something significant. Join us and become part of it. Register now. See you in Amsterdam.
