

Gilles Bézard
Gilles Bézard is a Senior ML Solution Architect at BrainChip, a leader in neuromorphic computing and edge AI. He holds a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI, 1989) and has built a career across research, education, and advanced AI.
He spent over a decade at Icam (School of Engineering) as Head of the Computer Science Department and Head of Studies, shaping curricula and mentoring students. He also worked with the Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao, 2007–2008), contributing to AI teaching and expanding Erasmus partnerships across Europe.
After serving as CTO of Spikenet Technology in neuromorphic vision systems, he joined BrainChip in 2016, where he advanced the Akida platform and co-authored NeurIPS 2019 research with Tata on real-time hand gesture recognition using spiking neural networks.
Beyond his technical work, Gilles has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to social impact, founding and chairing Molibà Màkàsi, an organization active in France and Morocco, and contributing to humanitarian projects in Senegal.
