Welcoming our Campus Ambassadors for 2026!

We’d like to wish a warm welcome to the first-ever Edge Impulse Campus Ambassadors. After receiving many impressive applications to the inaugural call for ambassadors, we’ve chosen four outstanding student leaders from across the world. The program is a leadership opportunity for students to represent Edge Impulse at their institutions, organize edge AI events, and connect with the community. Campus Ambassadors will be running workshops, hackathons, and more, all themed around AI on the edge.

Read on to learn more about each of the ambassadors in their own words:

Karthik Valluri, UC Berkeley, USA

Hi, I’m Karthik! I'm studying Computer Science and Data Science at UC Berkeley. I have experience working with edge AI computer vision for real time object detection and tracking, and I’m particularly interested in the intersection of edge AI and robotics. I’m excited by how on-device vision enables robotic systems to perform perception and decision-making under strict compute and power constraints.

Ashley Nicole Leal, University of Toronto, Canada

I’m a Computer Engineering student at the University of Toronto, minoring in AI and Business, currently on my co-op year as an intern at Qualcomm, where I develop software for our low-power AI accelerator. I’m excited to help make edge AI more accessible to my community!

Milan Ferus-Comelo, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany

I'm a Master’s student in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specializing in robotics and AI. I am driven by the challenge of bringing intelligence directly onto devices, making systems faster, more efficient, and more privacy-preserving by design. With an award-winning background spanning hardware, software, and applied AI, I enjoy turning complex technology into practical solutions. Through the Campus Ambassadors program, I am excited to share my experience, learn from others, and help grow a community around edge AI. Looking ahead to 2026, I look forward to deepening my work in intelligent systems, collaborating with driven peers, and helping shape technologies that are both innovative and responsible.

Vikram Adhitya, Dayananda Sagar University, India

I’m an undergraduate Electronics and Communication Engineering student at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. What excites me about edge AI is its ability to run intelligence directly on devices — standalone, without internet dependency, and with low power consumption. In 2026, I’m looking forward to exploring the edge AI ecosystem more deeply and being part of how it grows and scales across real-world applications.

Please welcome all of our new Ambassadors!

If you missed the opportunity to join the program this time, we’ll be recruiting again later in the year, head to our Student page to sign up for updates.
