Why the nRF54L15 DK?
The nRF54L15 DK is the official development kit for the nRF54L Series — including the nRF54L15, nRF54L10, and nRF54L05 wireless SoCs. Built for developers exploring the cutting edge of Bluetooth Low Energy, IoT, and AI at the edge, this DK provides everything you need to evaluate and prototype with Nordic’s next-generation SoCs.
At the heart of the DK is the nRF54L15 SoC, a highly capable chip that pairs an advanced 32-bit processor, 2.5 MB flash, and 1 MB RAM with a new 2.4GHz radio supporting Bluetooth LE and other proprietary protocols. It’s built on an advanced 22nm process, delivering extreme energy efficiency and headroom for more complex AI workloads.
With support for the nRF Connect SDK, Nordic’s extensive training resources, and Edge Impulse’s powerful machine learning tools, you can go from sensor data to deployed intelligence faster than ever.
Now integrated with Edge Impulse
With official Edge Impulse support, you can now:
- Collect real-world sensor data using your nRF54L15 DK and external sensor modules
- Train cutting-edge machine learning models for motion recognition, sound classification, keyword spotting, and more — right from your browser
- Deploy trained models back to the device using the nRF Connect SDK and run inference at the edge in real time
Sensor connection made easy
The nRF54L15 DK doesn’t include onboard sensors — but that’s no problem. We support direct integration with the ST X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 sensor expansion board (featuring a MEMS accelerometer), which can be manually wired to the DK’s GPIO headers. A detailed connection guide and firmware tutorial is available to walk you through setup.
Alternatively, you can use Edge Impulse’s Data Forwarder to collect data from any external sensor or microcontroller and pair it with your ML pipeline.
Seamless development experience
Getting started with the nRF54L15 DK on Edge Impulse is simple. All it takes is:
- Installing the Edge Impulse CLI
- Flashing our open-source firmware
- Connecting your dev kit via USB
- Launching edge-impulse-daemon to link your device
Once connected, you’ll see your device appear in your Edge Impulse project, ready to collect sensor data, label events, and begin training your model.
